Fencing & Fence-Line Work in Southern Oregon
Fence-line clearing, post-hole augering, post setting, and gate installation for rural and residential Southern Oregon properties, from field and farm fencing to property perimeters.
Overview
The equipment and know-how to fence any Southern Oregon property
Setting a fence that stays straight, plumb, and solid for years starts well before the first post goes in. Brush has to come off the line, the grade may need adjusting, and posts have to be drilled to a consistent depth, including through the rocky, hard-packed soil that covers much of the Rogue Valley.
Pacific Earthworks has the excavation equipment to clear a fence line efficiently, auger post holes through tough ground, and set posts solid. We handle wood, metal, and T-posts for residential yards, rural acreage, farm perimeters, and livestock enclosures. We also grade along the fence line where needed and install gates and access points as part of the same project.
Because fencing often goes hand in hand with other site work, we can coordinate it with land clearing, grading, or driveway projects so you are not managing two separate contractors on the same piece of ground.

Questions, Answered
Fencing FAQs
What types of fences do you install?
Pacific Earthworks installs wood, metal, and T-post fencing for residential and rural properties. That includes field and farm fencing, livestock fencing, and property-perimeter fencing. We have the equipment to auger post holes, set posts solid, and grade along the line so posts go in at a consistent depth.
How much does fencing cost in Southern Oregon?
Cost depends on the total linear footage, post type and spacing, the terrain, whether line clearing is needed first, and the number of gates. Rocky or brushy ground takes more time than open, clear ground. The best way to get an accurate number is a free on-site look, call (541) 512-5280.
Can you clear an overgrown fence line first?
Yes. Clearing brush, small trees, and debris along a fence line before setting posts is a regular part of what we do. We can handle light to moderate vegetation removal with the same equipment used for the fencing work, keeping the job on one contract and one schedule.
Do you set posts in rocky ground?
Yes. Rocky soil is common throughout the Rogue Valley and Southern Oregon hill country. We have auger equipment capable of drilling through rocky and hard-packed ground, and we adjust post depth and setting method when rock is close to the surface.
Can you fence acreage or large rural properties?
Yes. Rural acreage fencing is a strong fit for Pacific Earthworks. We have the equipment to cover long perimeters efficiently, handle rough terrain, and coordinate clearing and grading that often goes along with a large property fence.
Do you install gates?
Yes. Gates and access points are part of our fencing work. Whether you need a simple field gate or a wider driveway access gate, we set the posts solid and hang the gate level so it operates correctly.
